NANALAN II

"HOOTINANNY"

This episode is about bringing things together for a better whole.

ACT I

*IN THE BACKYARD:Mona and Russell build a fort
MONA is playing with BIG LEGO. She is playing with a single block but it's a little boring. She gets the idea to connect more blocks. She can't quite do it on her own so she enlists the help of RUSSELL, and together they start the building. They get very into it and so confident that they yell 'hooray' every time they add a block. Eventually they create a tower. Wow!

(ALTERNATE: DECORATE THE GARDEN GNOME)

AT THE SCREEN DOOR:We can hear NANA talking in the kitchen on the phone. She hangs up and is very excited and comes out with her UKELELE looking for Mona and Russell.

IN THE BACKYARD: Nana sees the fort
Nana comes looking. Mona and Russell have created a SMALL FORT and they are sitting in it and loving their handy work.

Nana is very proud and asks if they did that together. Wow. She tells them that Mr. Wooka and Nana have a surprise and they have to go over to Mr. Wooka's yard. They get out and start to leave for Mr.Wooka's but a beat later Mona and Russell come back, add one more block, yell 'Hooray' then run to...

MR. WOOKA?S GATE: Mr. Wooka has a musical plan.
They knock. MR. WOOKA answers in his typically wonderful manner. Mona tells him that her and Russ have made a house together. Mr. Wooka is impressed and tells them that they can all do something together and Mona and Russell are a very important part of it. He asks Nana if she's ready and Nana certainly is. They go over to...

MR. WOOKA'S WORKSHOP AREA: The song comes together
Mr. Wooka gives Mona a STICK to tap on some old CANS AND BOTTLES and announces that they are all going to play a song together and she is a part of the band. Everyone gets comfortable but there is one problem, Russell doesn't have an instrument. Russell thinks fast. He runs out of frame then returns with his SQUEEKY PORK CHOP and is now ready to do his part. Mr. Wooka pulls out a BANJO and they start. It's a wonderful bluegrass country duet with Nana and Wooka with Mona singing the chorus and playing her bottles and Russell with a pork chop solo. The song 'In The Nana Band' is a loud energetic song with a rousing chorus about adding your important instrument to the next one to create one great song together. It's the greatest song moment ever, worthy of a Grammy.

Wow! What a great song! Nana says that they need to get home for lunch, she has big delicious lasagna. Mona asks Nana if Mr. Wooka can come over for lunch. Nana thinks it's a wonderful idea. Mr. Wooka says he'll bring something for lunch too.

(11 MINUTE ENDING:)
What a great song! It was so much better that Mona and Russell added their parts they did it together.

She puts a sloppy piece of lasagna on each plate, and then adds some salad. Nana says that these two things together make a great lunch but Mona thinks there is one thing missing that makes it extra special. Cheese. LIVING ROOM: LATER Fleefer loses a leg
Mona is playing with FLEEFER but quickly realizes that Fleefer's leg is missing. She is in shock. She bends down and picks up the missing leg. She freaks out and calls for Nana. Nana comes running. Mona shows Nana and asks her to fix it. Nana says that they can do it together and assures Fleefer will be Fleefer again when they put her back together. But first, to make Fleefer feel better maybe they should read her a story. Mona thinks it's a great idea and they wander over to...

THE STORY CHAIR:
They get comfortable and Nana pulls out a book called 'THE MR. KIRKISS CIRCUS'. It's a book where you help choose things to fill up his circus:

Poor, sad Mr. Kirkiss.
Has no one at all to be in his circus.
Help him choose, because you're so clever,
The things he needs to make the best circus ever.

Here's a paintbrush, a Lion and some cheese.
Which one do you think Mr. Kirkiss needs?

Lion is right! But he needs something more,
An Acrobat, a flower, or a rotten apple core?

An Acrobat! You're so smart but there's still something missing...
A baseball, an elephant or ducks that keep kissing?

Elephant is right! It's so good you're around,
But does he need a toothbrush, some soap or a car full of clowns?

Clowns! That's great! But what goes here?
A plant, a Moose or a crowd who cheers?

Hooray for you! You helped Mr. Kirkiss!
You've added the parts to make a great circus.

Wow! What a great story. Nana tells Mona how wonderful she is because she helped gather all the things to make the circus better. Mona tells Fleefer that they are going to make whole again. Nana says that she needs to get some sewing things and off they go to...

We see Fleefer on the table. Mona helps Nana by pushing Fleefer's leg into position and Nana sews her leg back on. Mona can hardly look, but soon Nana has the leg back on. Fleefer is back together, hooray! Nana says that Fleefer is whole again. But Mona sees something on the table, a little pink fabric. She picks it up and looks at Fleefer. Mona gets inspired and asks Nana to put it on Fleefer. Nana is thrilled. She wraps it around Fleefer like a scarf, now not only is Fleefer back together but Mona has added something to make Fleefer extra better. Mona is very happy and Nana is as always proud.
